The Stop

What an inspiring read -- a story of how the vision of a group of people can lead to a lot of social change. I'm interested in food issues generally, and this was illuminating, especially around the areas of poverty and food rights -- the idea that charity is not sufficient, rather there are wider political issues than simply providing food banks to meet hunger.

I particularly wanted to read this once I realized that the local Community Food Centre in my own town was affiliated with the group who began The Stop. This was well written and provided a lot to think about.
