About the authors
Sarah Degonse was born in France and lives in Montreal. She loves notebooks of all kinds, newly sharpened pencils, and the innocence of youth and books. She splits her time between working in children’s publishing and producing collaborations for literature and parenting blogs.
ÉLODIE DUHAMEAU est une illustratrice qui travaille dans l’édition jeunesse, la presse et la publicité. Avant d’embrasser cette profession, c’est d’abord le design graphique qui lui a fait de l’oeil. Aujourd’hui, elle est l’illustratrice de plus de 10 livres jeunesse.
ÉLODIE DUHAMEAU is an illustrator who works in children's book publishing, media, and advertising. Before embracing this profession, it was graphic design that caught her eye. Today, she is the illustrator of more than ten children's books.

ARIELLE AARONSON left her native New Jersey in 2007 to pursue a diploma in Translation Studies at Concordia University in Montreal. She holds an M.A. in Second Language Education from McGill University and has spent the past few years teaching English in the Montreal public school system and creating educational material for second language learners. She previously translated Marie-Renée Lavoie’s Autopsy of a Boring Wife and A Boring Wife Settles the Score for Arachnide.

Titles...that support SEL in the classroom. ...Charlie uses the metaphor of balloons bouncing, floating, inflating, and bursting to describe how they feel. They share the strategies they use to deal with their emotions and assert that being sensitive is a strength that allows them to be curious, empathetic, creative, etc. In Class: Cut balloon shapes out of construction paper and label them with different emotions. Let students draw on the balloons and add shapes and colours to match the emotion on their balloon.
