Humans take a back seat to animals in this heart-wrenching story from award-winning author Diana Wieler.The story is told from the point of view of two horses living in a rundown riding stable that is about to be taken over by a new owner. About the authors

Diana Wieler is the winner of the Governor General's Award, the Mr. Christie's Book Award, the Canadian Library Association's Young Adult Canadian Book Award and the Ruth Schwartz Award. Her most recent book, Drive, won the McNally Robinson Award. She lives in Winnipeg.

ANGE ZHANG has illustrated many books for Groundwood, most notably his memoir of growing up during the Cultural Revolution, Red Land, Yellow River, which won the Bologna Ragazzi Award. A former designer for the National Opera Theater in Beijing, he now works as an animation artist. He lives in Toronto.
