About the author
Florence M. Hilchey compiled A Treasury of Nova Scotia Heirloom Dishes as a Canadian Centennial project while working as supervisor of Home Economics for the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture. Active with the Women's Institutes of Nova Scotia, Hilchey played a role in establishing branches in communities throughout the province.
