The Clio Collective comprises four historians who have tried to write history in a different way. Micheline Dumont has taught women's history at the University of Sherbrooke since 1970. Michèle Jean is a specialist in adult education and is presently an assistant deputy minister in Quebec's Ministère de la Main-d`oeuvre et de la Sécurité du revenu. Marie Lavigne is the director of the Regional Offices, Quebec Minstry of Cultural Affairs. Jennifer Stoddart was at the time of writing a research director for the Canadian Advisory Council on the Status of Women. She is currently the director of investigation for the Quebec Human Rights Commission.

Rosalind Gill is a Senior Scholar in French and Translation at Glendon College, York University. She writes fiction and as well is a literary translator. Her stories and translations from French and Spanish have appeared in various Canadian journals and magazines. Recently, she has volunteered her translation services to human rights organizations such as Rights Action and PEN Canada.
