Description
Stories about hospital bed shortages and long emergency room waiting times abound, but what is going on inside the system? How do hospitals cope with funding shortages? How are GPs and specialists paid, and for what? Do doctors cover for incompetent colleagues? Why is the debate about private health care so polarized—and uninformed? These and other questions Canadians have about health care will be answered in the medical equivalent of The Naked Investor. Filled with real-life stories, Prognosis will enlighten and enrage those concerned about the state of our system.
