About the author

Contributor Notes

STEFANO FAITA is the host of In the Kitchen with Stefano Faita, which airs on CBC Television every weekday. Shot in front of a live studio audience, the TV show captures Stefano at his best—interacting with audience members and teaching cooking techniques and methods in an informal, cooking-school-like atmosphere.

Stefano is a lifelong resident of Montreal's Little Italy, where his family's renowned kitchenwares store, Dante's, is famous for its eclectic mix of cooking tools and hunting supplies. His family also operates the Mezza Luna cooking school beside the store, where customers learn about food preparation and interact with Stefano, his mom and other food personalities in an intimate environment.

Stefano has written three bestselling cookbooks in French. He recently opened his first restaurant, Impasto, across the street from his cooking school and family store. Stefano currently lives in Montreal with his partner, Isabelle Lemme, and daughters, Emilia and Anna.
