Mary Pettit is well-known for her interest in home children. Her first book was also translated into Braille in the U.K. She lives in Stoney Creek, Ontario.

Gail Helena Corbett was born in Peterborough, Ontario and is a graduate of Queen's University. She is a teacher, has published in various periodicals, and is the editor of Famous Canadian Artists and the highly successful anthology, Portraits. Gail is the author of Country Churches, Literary Sketches, and Katherine Wallis.

Marjorie Kohli was born in Calgary, Alberta, and spent her formative years migrating, with her military family, through the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Manitoba before settling in Waterloo, Ontario. A graduate of the University of Waterloo (UW), she worked at UW as a computer consultant from 1969 until 2003.

Kenneth Bagnell grew up in Nova Scotia and moved to Toronto in the sixties to pursue a career in journalism. He has worked with the Toronto Star, the Globe and Mail, and has received various awards for magazine writing and editing. He is also a renowned public speaker.
