About the authors
Roger Burrows has travelled throughout North America, spending many years in Atlantic Canada where he worked for Parks Canada as a naturalist, interpretive planner, and consultant. An avid birder, his expertise is apparent in page after page of information-packed introductions to the birding hotspots that grace the shores, fields, and woodlands of New Brunswick. He is also the author of several birding "bibles," including A Birdwatcher#&39;s Guide to Atlantic Canada and Birds of Atlantic Canada as well as Birds of Oregon, Birds of New England, Birds of Pennsylvania, and Birds of the Great Plains.
KRISTA KAGUME is a nature writer who has travelled across North America, working as a freelance journalist, cycling-tour guide and deckhand on a commercial fishing vessel. After earning her degree in conservation biology, Krista focused on environmental research and communications. Her work in Alberta and the Northwest Territories has included research on tiny tundra plants, organic farming, breeding birds and one grizzly bear immobilization. She currently lives in a small town outside Edmonton with her adventurous family, who enjoy the outdoors and encourage others to appreciate nature.
