Description
Where Calling Birds Gather is a poetic journey spanning continents. From the Canadian Prairies we are wisked away to Australia and Ethiopia in search of exotic birds. About the author
John Weier (born in 1949) has published over a dozen books, including six major collections of poetry. Weier grew up in Manitoba and then lived in Niagara on the Lake, before returning to Winnipeg. He is Past President of the League of Canadian Poets. He was a major player in the formative years of the Literary Press Group, Access Copyright, and Canadian Book Information Centre. For many years a professional luthier, he now has a career as a counselor and mindfulness teacher. Known for his birdwatching mastery, he has logged over 3,400 species of birds.
