Description

This comprehensive picture of theatrical activity in all its forms in the prairies from the pioneer years to the early 1980s includes the change from the touring companies to the movies, shows Chautauqua started and stopped, and the establishment of the educational courses at all levels to encourage the rise of the professional theatres today. Playwrighting and the choice of plays which dominated the stage at that time is recorded.
