The book will also examine the theoretical, historical and social construction in five of sociology's sub-fields: law, health, sexuality, race, and education.The book will take a critical approach to understanding the historical and social construction of deviance.After an introductory chapter, which examines classical social control theories as well as the currently more influential feminist and post-structuralist theorists, the book is divided into five sections.
