About the authors

Dr Rachel Goss graduated from University College London in 2008 and completed an undergraduate BSc in Therapeutic Radiography prior to this. She completed her foundation years and emergency medicine training in the South West of England. She is currently working as an EM consultant in New Brunswick, Canada with additional roles including Director of Quality Improvement and Knowledge Translation, and Assistant Professor at Dalhousie University. These roles allow her to teach regularly at the medical school and supervise within the residency program. She is particularly interested in trauma, resuscitation, paediatrics, and quality improvement.

After completing a degree in Biomedical Sciences and a Masters in Human Nutrition from the University of Sheffield, Dr Emma McMaster completed a graduate entry Medicine degree at Warwick Medical school. Her foundation training was undertaken in the West Midlands before completing her training in Emergency Medicine in the South West. She is currently working as an EM Consultant at University Hospital Plymouth, a busy Major Trauma Centre where she works as a Clinical Governance and Safety lead and a Deputy Service Line Director for ED.

Stephanie Rennie is an Emergency Medicine Consultant at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, UK.
