Norman Bridwell se souvenait qu’il n’était pas très doué pour les sports lorsqu’il était enfant. Par contre, il passait beaucoup de temps à dessiner. À l’époque, personne ne se doutait que ses dessins et ses écrits seraient un jour connus de millions d’enfants dans le monde entier. Après la naissance de sa fille Emily, il monte un portfolio et fait la tournée des maisons d’édition de livres pour enfants dans le but d’augmenter un peu son salaire. Il n’a aucun succès. Toutefois, une éditrice lui conseille de présenter ses dessins accompagnés d’une histoire pour augmenter ses chances de succès. Norman Bridwell ne perd pas de temps. Il crée le gros chien rouge Clifford et trois semaines plus tard, il décroche son premier contrat avec Scholastic. L’histoire d’amour dure toujours entre Clifford et les enfants. Avec 100 millions de livres vendus dans plusieurs langues et sa présence à l’écran, Clifford est sans contredit un des « personnages » les plus connus des enfants

MEREDITH RUSU is the author of more than fifty children’s books, specializing in titles based on television and movies such as LEGO ® Ninjago, Peppa Pig®, and Star Wars ®. She is also the author of The DATA Set series under the name Ada Hopper. Meredith lives in New Jersey with her husband and two young sons who provide much of the inspiration for her writing. When she isn’t working, Meredith enjoys karaoke, spending time with family, and going on the occasional adventure or two.
RÉMY SIMARD est une figure importante du monde québécois de l’édition. Il est à la fois bédéiste, illustrateur et auteur d’albums et de romans pour la jeunesse. Il a aussi dirigé une maison d’édition consacrée à la bande dessinée avant de travailler comme directeur de collection jeunesse. Rémy vit à Montréal, au Québec.
Rémy Simard has illustrated many books for children. He is also the author of a series of graphic novels which is being adapted for television. Rémy has been shortlisted for a Governor General’s Award and is well known and regarded for his comic style. He lives in Montreal, Quebec.
