About the authors
Patricia Silver (aka Patty the Clown) is an award-winning songwriter, instrumentalist, record producer and author of the best-seller "Face Painting". Her critically-acclaimed Sphere Clown Band has wowed audiences on TV and in festivals and theatres across Canada, in the U.S.A., the U.K.., Russia, Europe, and Asia. She has been putting smiles on kids faces through her face painting and clown antics since 1974. She lives in Toronto and is the proud mother of Peeper the Clown (on the Face Painting cover).

She includes step-by-step instructions for 16 of the most commonly requested faces, rules for safety, and the all-important cleanup tips. Clear, full-color photographs and drawings of children in the makeup accompany the instructions. These simple illustrations are charming and helpful, leaving no doubt as to what supplies are needed. Except for the face paint itself, most of these items are readily available — it is an excellent choice for beginners, providing basic information and delightful examples.
