Description

St. John's, with its 500 year history, is fertile ground for story tellers. Rogues and revivalists, pirates and politicians, soldiers and shysters have all had a hand in shaping its persona: probably the oldest, reputedly the liveliest city in North America. In this book, Fitzgerald concentrates on stories of crime, strange and unusual incidents, and quirky connections, all relating to St. John's and its citizens.
