Description
Tim Lander has been reciting poetry on streetcorners, in coffee houses, at bus stops and other public venues for years. He is always out in the open, offering his poems for sale in hand-crafted chapbooks. Collected from a life dedicated to poetry, The Glass Book gathers together some of the most beautiful lyrics written anywhere.
About the author
Born in February 1938 in England, Tim Lander attended London University before moving to Canada in 1964. A penny whistle playing 'street poet', he has published numerous chapbooks. Gentle, thoughtful and articulate, he has remained an important presence on the West Coast poetry scene for several decades, mostly based in Nanaimo. In the tradition of the itinerant "chapman" who makes and sells his own books, Lander has produced many of his own publications by hand, handsewing them with a needle and thread according to demand during his travels.
