Raincoast Chronicles 21: West Coast Wrecks and Other Maritime Tales

West Coast Wrecks and Other Maritime Tales is a special edition of Raincoast Chronicles featuring nautical stories and shipwreck lore and laying down an anecdotal background for an important maritime narrative.

Twenty-one chapters are each devoted to shipwrecks, adventures, incidents or disasters and the related unique coastal characters. More than 100 black-and-white photographs from the late 19th and early 20th century are appropriate illustrations for the stories.

The maritime history of BC is fascinating, and sometimes tragic. West Coast Wrecks and Other Maritime Tales is an interesting introduction and overview to the study of the coastal heritage.
