Tom rolled onto his side and watched as Teresa set up matchbox beds for Tape and Curly in the log house loft.

“What are you doing with those weird dolls, Twig?”

“Their names are Tape and Curly, and they’re not weird,” said Teresa. Tom grunted in response.

“Do you see where their beds are, Tom? They’re going to sleep in the loft, just like we do at home.”

“Wish we were at home now,” said Tom, rolling onto his back again and closing his eyes.
