Sonia Lamontagne

AUTHOR: Born and raised in Fauquier, Northern Ontario, Sonia Lamontagne completed her undergraduate studies in literature, psychology and education at Laurentian University. After teaching for two years, she has returned to school to study professional writing at the University of Ottawa. She is the winner of the 2012 Trillium Award for French-language poetry. TRANSLATOR: Howard Scott is a Montreal literary translator originally from Ontario. He completed an M.A. in translation at Concordia University. In 1997 he received the Governor General Translation Award for his translation of "The Euguelion" by Louky Bersianik. He has translated many books of poetry, fiction and non-fiction, often in collaboration with Phyllis Aronoff. Howard Scott is a past president of the Literary Translators Association of Canada.
