Description

Welcome to The Wax Museum. In this bold debut poetry collection, K.R. Segriff explores what it means to be alive, to be dead, and to exist in the various states of 'almost being' between them. The museum offers a diverse collection of characters. Some are somber and damaged, some seem to laugh out loud, but all possess an uncanny resemblance to someone familiar. There are cursing aunties, hated neighbours, snake-skinned C.E.O.'s., bearers of silent things, and ghosts who refuse to rest. These figures navigate themes of resurrection, relationships, identities, memories, and trying to survive. As they weave their way through the museum, visitors are invited to travel from spotlight to spotlight or to lose themselves in the shadows between them. Come inside. An adventure awaits.
