MARIE RAYNER is a retired professional chef, food blogger, and author of several cookbooks, including The English Kitchen: An Anglophile's Love Note to English Cuisine. She began her culinary career as a hotel pastry chef in the 1970s, and in 2000, she moved to the UK, where she worked as a personal chef.
