Description

A retrospective of paintings by Aleen Aked comprises thirty-six paintings spanning a career from 1934 till today [1989]. Aked's paintings are engaging for their freshness of colour and varied subjects ... flowers, portraits, landscapes and still lifes. She finds inspiration in real life and the real world rather than the avant-garde of the time.
