Description
FEATURING NEW INFORMATION ON HOMEWORK, BULLYING, ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION, AND MORALITY.
Why do teens act the way they do? In this second edition of his popular book Teen Brain, Teen Mind, renowned psychologist Dr. Ron Clavier provides some fascinating answers to this age-old question. In clear-sighted and accessible language, Clavier explains that neurological changes in a young person’s developing brain underlie many of the emotions and behaviours that can make teens so wonderful and yet so unpredictable and volatile.
“??With a healthy dose of humour, Clavier argues that a clear understanding of the teenage brain is the key we need to unlock the mysteries of why our kids act the way they act and think the way they think. From drug use and early sexual activity to fashion and music, Clavier covers topics of relevance to both teens and their parents. Along the way, he offers numerous coping tips and strategies designed to ease tensions and improve communications.
