Description

This anthology spinning off from the best selling series Nottingham, reunites series creators David Hazan and Shane Connery Volk, while also bringing diverse new talent into the world of Nottingham, including Eisner and GLAAD nominated writer Magdalene Visaggio (Kim & Kim, Eternity Girl, Doctor Mirage).

Tales from Nottingham explores untold stories from the twisted universe of Nottingham, including the secret origins of Robin Hood and the Merry Men, Marian’s violent past, Aya of the Hashashin’s first kill, and an ordeal that will shake Friar Tuck to his core. Never-before-seen mysteries confront Everard Blackthorne, the Sheriff of Nottingham, culminating in an investigation that will lead directly into the climactic events of Nottingham Vol. 3.

Anna Everts is a comic writer from the Netherlands. They started writing professionally in 2020, if you don’t count the self-published squirrel story they wrote in primary school. When they’re not writing, they like to paint landscapes, make an attempt at reading their many unread books, and obsess over fictional characters from popular media. They describe themselves as chaotic neurodivergent, and like to collect rocks, trinkets, and on occasion, dead things.

She shares a home with her two partners, three cats, a dizzying number of books, and one of the largest collections of Tenchi Muyo paraphernalia in North America.

Editorial Reviews

Every creative is showing off their best effort [...]

Gutternaut

The [Tales From Nottingham] series has done a fantastic job of exploring the eclectic characters in the Nottingham universe, giving each player depth and development far beyond what could be done in the main series.

Comical Opinions

Hazan manages to weave a heartbreaking romance into this political drama that is engaging and greatly fleshes out the motivations of the main character.

Comic Book Yeti

Tales of Nottingham does do a good job of standing on the shoulders of giants.

Resting and Reviewing

I look forward to the future issues and the opportunity to see other talented creators try their hand in Hazan and Connery Volk's Nottingham playground. It should be fun.
