About the author
Chris Rolton emigrated from England to Canada in 1967, after graduating as a physician. At first she worked for the International Grenfell Association in Labrador, then roamed about the country, substituting for sick and holidaying doctors. In 1980 she returned permanently to Newfoundland and Labrador. Retiring in 1991, she operated a bed and breakfast in Carbonear. Now her main interests are heritage and writing.
