Description
Soonki Park Schaub has used no colour in her plaster sculptures which are life-like (human) in appearance; they set up some expectations of experience that have their roots in a number of traditions. One of these traditions is naturalism or realsim. Each work "stands for" an individual life as well as life in general; each work prompts the viewer to ruminate about both the person "represented" and the larger truth that is imbedded in that representation.
