About the author
Allister MacGillivray was born on the Island of Cape Breton in the province of Nova Scotia on Canada's east coast. A child performer from the age of seven, he went on to become a renowned Canadian songwriter, guitarist, recording producer, folklorist and author. Allister's composition Song for the Mira is an enduring Canadian classic.
