Description
This chapbook celebrates the working relationship between Gaspereau Press and Rod McDonald, arguably Canada’s most celebrated type designer. It includes a short essay, the text of a 2006 interview with McDonald, showings of three of McDonald’s serifed typefaces (Cartier Book, Laurentian and Goluska) and over 16 black and white illustrations.
About the author
Andrew Steeves, of Wolfville, Nova Scotia, is the co-publisher of The Gaspereau Review and a partner in Gaspereau Press. Poems from Cutting the Devil's Throat have appeared in literary journals including The Antigonish Review, Queen#&39;s Quarterly, The Fiddlehead, and Canadian Literature.
