Description
Lu and Clancy are baby-sitting two puppies and need desperately to tire them out. A long walk to Magic Lake should do the trick. Suddenly a storm hits and everybody takes cover in the bushes. Now one of the puppies is missing. The Dog Detectives are on the case!

About the authors
Adrienne Mason is a writer, editor and life-long resident of Vancouver Island. A biologist and naturalist/interpreter, she is the managing editor of KNOW: The Science Magazine for Curious Kids. She has a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Victoria, and her articles have appeared in National Geographic Kids, WILD, Canadian Geographic, Georgia Straight, Beautiful BC, OWL, Ranger Rick, Boys' Life and Nature Canada. She lives in Tofino, BC, and enjoys hiking, beachcombing and exploring the coast with her husband and two daughters.
Award-winning author and teacher Etta Kaner enjoys writing nonfiction for both children and adults. Her books include Animals Migrating, Animal Talk , Animal Groups and other titles in the Animal Behavior series, as well as four titles in the Kids Can Read series. She is also author of the Exploring the Elements and Have You Ever Seen series. She lives in Toronto.
