Description
A startling new voice in psychological suspense has arrived. Criminal psychologist Dr. Brad Kelln's debut novel is a disturbing tale of hidden sins, human frailty and pure evil.Edward Carter is a psychotic serial rapist whose violent crimes leave his victims insane and suicidal. Hot on the case, family man and veteran detective Mitchell Wa catches a lead and captures Carter. But the trouble really starts when the suspect is sent to a maximum security psychiatric facility where the staff soon learn that Carter has the power to make anyone lose their sanity. When Carter manufactures a violent escape from the psychiatric facility, the police turn to the only two men who might be able to help them: Dr. Michael Wenton, a morally bankrupt forensic psychologist with a disturbing past, and Tim Dallons, a suicidal ex-detective with a hatred of psychologists. When Carter takes a young girl hostage in an abandoned house, Wenton and Dallons are the only two people who can go in after him. But can they stand face to face with evil and remain untouched from the prospect of lost sanity?
