About the authors

Warren Rogers is an inner-city teacher with over 15 years` experience in middle-years classrooms. His background in theatre and broadcasting and his experience as a reader/narrator have enriched his passion for reading and writing children's stories. Warren and his wife have two children.

Dave Leochko, a grade 6 teacher in Winnipeg, Manitoba, has been teaching for the past 24 years. He is the co-author of two other books published by Portage & Main Press, Guiding Readers Through Non-Fiction and Literature Circles: Tools and Techniques. In his spare time, Dave enjoys the outdoors, photography, and boxing.
