The Idaho History 1800 to Present group is now the largest Idaho history group on Facebook with more than 40,000 members sharing pictures and information about Idaho's colourful past.
Idaho History 1800 to Present offers us a window into the past, showing life as it was then, and stirring in us the emotions of wonder and curiosity about those who have gone before us and the lives they lived.

About the authors
Justin Smith was born in Nampa and raised in American Falls. In the early 1990s he moved to Pocatello where he still lives with his wife Trish and their children. He is a history columnist for the Idaho State Journal, an artist, and photographer. His family roots deep in Idaho and there is no other place he would rather be.
Skip Myers was born and raised in the Boise Basin. In the 1950s he left the area to find work, but returned to his beloved Idaho in 1986 to work as a logger. In 1992 he opened Donna's Place, a store and café in Idaho City. He and his wife Donna opened a second store in Placerville.
