Description

As writer and performer of the popular one-man show The Truth About Daughters, Nils Ling is used to being in front of an audience. However when he returns to his high school for a fundraiser, nerves and memories threaten to take over. In I Think We’ve All Learned Something Here Nils remembers his school years: the stress of skipping two grades, trying to fit in with the older kids and not getting beaten up on a daily basis. He quickly realizes that humour can fend off potential bullies and also impress the girls. He navigates his childhood as the class clown, fitting in the best that he can by making people laugh. When a teacher suggests he take his act to the stage, Nils discovers a way to turn his coping mechanism into a career.
