Hugo is a little pug who has been abandoned. Sad and scared, he worries no one will want him. Thankfully, he is adopted by a kind family, but Hugo has a long way to go before he can learn to trust again.

A story about animal abandonment that also highlights the responsibilities that come with adopting a pet. The illustrations are beautiful, and the changing seasons serve to show the passage of time.

Native de la Rive-Nord de Montréal, Catherine Braun-Grenier a étudié en Illustration au Collège Dawson. Dans une autre vie, elle s’affairait à élever des petits chiens en Toscane. Dans celle-ci, elle a travaillé en tant que peintre aux décors dans le domaine de l’animation avant de se diriger vers le tatouage et l’illustration. Hugo est son premier livre.
