Editorial Review

"The book is a great way to get children to spell and seek information based on obvious clues."
Shelf Life Magazine

"A fun book about asking questions."
KidsBookshelf

"This book introduces children to phonics, spelling, and punctuation. Tying letters into magic and superheroes will make reading even more appealing to children. [...] Because these superheroes look like children playing dress-up, and they are learning about letters and sounds, children in the audience can relate to the characters and their learning processes."
Resource Links

"Joyce Grant's text and Jan Dolby's illustrations work together seamlessly in order to create a colourful and animated work that is also educational. The final two pages of the work also include activities and online resources related to the book. Some activities include spelling, drawing, enquiry, and exploration which can be enjoyed in a school or home setting. Gabby, Wonder Girl is a worthwhile book that will engage children, educators, and parents with its wonder filled and vibrant pages.
Recommended."
