Reginald Harrison left his Saskatchewan family’s farm in 1942 to become a bomber pilot with the Royal Canadian Air Force in the Second World War. He survived four plane accidents and several close calls, and became one of the few Canadians in the famed wartime “Guinea Pig Club” after receiving reconstructive skin graft surgery.
