Description

From the incredible team behind One, Two, Grandma Loves You and One, Two, Grandpa Loves You, author Shelly Becker and award-winning artist Dan Yaccarino, comes ABCs for a Peaceful Me, a unique ABC book all about mindfulness.

Feel your breath move in and out.
Feel the peaceful energy.
Focus on the here and now . . .
and just BE.

A is for appreciate, B is for breathe, C is for connect, and D is to discover all of the great ways little ones can bring mindfulness into their daily routines.

Featuring bold, colorful art, each spread focuses on a unique word promoting a healthy body-mind connection; a hidden object relating to the letter; and an animal, such as an antelope, a bear, an elephant, a tiger, and even a unicorn. Young readers will delight in learning this unique alphabet, as well as new ways to self-soothe and express themselves.

About the authors

Shelly Becker is the author of One, Two, Grandma Loves You, which School Library Journal called “a pure, cadenced classic” in a starred review. Her other books include Even Superheroes Get Scared, Even Superheroes Make Mistakes, Even Superheroes Have Bad Days (a 2018 Blue Spruce Award Nominee that Kirkus Reviews called “an action-packed romp”), and Mine! Mine! Mine!, which has been included on many Top Five and Top Ten lists of books that teach the concept of sharing. Becker lives in Toronto, far away from her three wonderful grandchildren, who live in New Jersey. When they can’t be together in person, they keep in touch by speaking on the phone and sending plenty of pictures and videos.
