Description
Allan Brown’s publishing career began in 1962 when a pair of haiku appeared in the first issue of David McFadden’s magazine Mountain. Since then Brown’s haiku have appeared in various journals and anthologies, though a penny in the grass is his first book entirely devoted to the form.
About the author
Allan Brown has published 17 books and chapbooks including Divinations (Ekstasis Editions, 1998), a selection of pieces using garden and wilderness imagery. His chapbook Imagines (Leaf Press) was co-winner of the bpNichol award in 2002. His most recent title is another volume of selections, Frames of Silence (Seraphim Editions). Brown was born in Victoria, BC, and currently lives in Powell River.
