Astrid Sheckels, a New England native, lives in Western Massachusetts. She is the award-winning author and illustrator of Nic and Nellie and Hector Fox and the Giant Quest. She also illustrated the award-winning books, The Scallop Christmas and The Fish House Door. All four books are published by Islandport Press.
