Kenneth T. Williams is a Cree playwright from the George Gordon First Nation in Saskatchewan, and is the first Indigenous person to earn an MFA in playwriting from the University of Alberta. His plays Cafe Daughter, Gordon Winter, Thunderstick, Bannock Republic, Suicide Notes and Three Little Birds have been produced across Canada. He is the playwright-in-residence and teaches playwriting for the Drama Department at the University of Saskatchewan, and is active in the local theatre community as a member of the board of Live Five Independent Theatre. He is also a member of the Saskatchewan Playwrights Centre, the Playwrights Guild of Canada, and the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas.
