Donna Marie West is an educator, translator, author, and freelance editor. She has published something like 500 drabbles, short stories, and non-fiction articles in a wide variety of Canadian and American magazines, web sites, and anthologies. She loves unusual and unexplained phenomena, dystopian futures and alternative history, and often finds ways to weave these themes into her stories. In 2019, she co-authored a collection of horror-themed short stories and poems titled Haunted Horror, which is sadly now out of print as the publisher closed its doors. A novel, The Mud Man, was published in April 2022 by an independent American publisher. Having recently retired from teaching, Donna now spends most of her time working as an editor, helping other authors with their stories. Her precious free time is devoted to reading, writing, and doing research for her current projects. She lives in Québec, Canada, with her long-time partner and two beloved kitties. You can follow her on her Amazon author page or her public Facebook page, both under her name.
