Matt Wells

Matt Wells is a Newfoundland–born actor, writer, and musician who has shared the stage with everyone from Slayer and Damage Plan to Sammy Hagar and Levon Helm. His life in music led to a career as a music and film journalist and television host for Much, MuchMore, and MTV Canada, bringing him face to face with artists such as Lou Reed, John Lydon, Adele, Ben Kingsley, and Quentin Tarantino. Since shifting focus to filmmaking he is best known for his award–winning short film “Poison in the Water,” which he wrote and starred in alongside his daughter Sofia. He is also a producer and co-star in the 2018 feature film Crown and Anchor.
