Peter Watson is a British journalist and popular historian of ideas, a researcher at the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research at Cambridge University, and a great believer in science, secularism, and the scientific method. He is the author of Ideas: A History from Fire to Freud, which chronicles the advance of ideas from ancient times until the contemporary period.
