About the Author

Beverly Vote

Beverly Vote was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992, at the age of 38. With a lack of medical knowledge and little support available, she realized she had no point of reference for healing and no role model specific to breast cancer. Her fears controlled her experiences until she learned there were ways she could indeed empower herself. In 2006, Beverly created the Breast Cancer Wellness Magazine, a quarterly, full-color publication that goes directly to thousands of breast cancer patients and survivors in all 50 states, as well as to several thousand mastectomy centers, support groups, and breast cancer centers. The magazine was the 2007 recipient of the Don Ranly Publishers Award for Best Issue in its category. In 2012, she was the recipient of the Tigerlily Foundation Transformation Award and in 2014 received the Pink Angel Honoree award.

Beverly is the author of How We Became Breast Cancer Survivors and co-author of Faces of Courage and is a contributing writer for Chicken Soup for the Breast Cancer Survivor's Soul, Dancing with Fear: Tips and Wisdom from Breast Cancer Survivors and The Pink Prayer Book. She was named 2007 Yoplait Champion, along with 24 other women and men from across the nation for their dedication in making a difference for breast cancer patients and survivors. Beverly is a Certified Healing Images Specialist. She and her husband David live at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. They have two grown children and five granddaughters.

More Info

If you or someone you love is battling breast cancer, you know each day brings a rainbow of emotions—you may feel fearful or fierce, hopeful or helpless, cautious or courageous.

Whatever you're feeling, no matter your age or your stage, a positive attitude is an infinitely powerful tool for healing. Inkspirations for Breast Cancer Survivors was created by Beverly Vote, a breast cancer survivor, to help you destress, recharge, and renew so that you can awaken your hidden healer within.

Over two decades ago, Beverly Vote was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 38. With a bleak diagnosis and few resources, she felt helpless and overwhelmed. In 2006, she founded Breast Cancer Wellness Magazine to empower and encourage other women like her.

'We are all so unique and one healing size does not fit all,' she explains. 'Coloring is a great healing tool to relax and let our feelings flow without being critical or judgmental about what is being released.' Take time to unwind and release your stress and emotions. Reflect on the healing images and be inspired by the uplifting quotes and affirmations from fellow survivors and thought leaders. With heartfelt illustrations from renowned artist Ann-Margret Hovsepian, Inkspirations for Breast Cancer Survivors offers you a calming, creative, and restorative break.
