Rachel Vigier is the author of Gestures of Genius: Women, Dance, andthe Body, and two books of poetry, The Book of Skeletons (PedlarPress, 2006) and On Every Stone (Pedlar Press, 2002). She is analumna of the Nikolais/Louis Dance Lab, where she studied with Hanya Holm,Alwin Nikolais, and Murray Louis. Rachel Vigier's poetry has beenfeatured on CBC and online at nthposition and Verse Daily.Her work has also appeared in the Literary Review of Canada, TheMalahat Review, Barrow Street, The Cortland Review, andin an anthology of writings September 11, 2001: American WritersRespond (Etruscan Press, 2002). She was raised in Manitoba and nowlives with her family in New York City.
