The Grassroots Women's Collective worked with the McMaster Research Centre for the Promotion of Women's Health in Hamilton, Ontario. They formed the co-ordinating committee of the Telling Our Stories Project, from which these stories originated. The members of the Collective are Mona Aziz, Reva Bomberry, Maggie Fischbuch, Marcela Krautter and Mary O'Connor.
