Proma Tagore was born in Kolkata, India, and immigrated to Canada at the age of four. She currently lives and works in Vancouver, unceded CoastSalish Territories, and is active in anti-racist, feminist, queer, and migrant justice organizing. She is the author of The Shapes of Silence: Writing by Women of Colour and the Politics of Testimony and the editor of In Our Own Voices: Learning and Teaching Toward Decolonisation. This is her first book of poetry.
