bernardine ann teráz stapleton is a writer and performing artist. She has had more than thirty plays professionally produced. stapleton won the Writers' Alliance of Newfoundland and Labrador Book Award for Non-Fiction for the work They Let Down Baskets, an award she shared with collaborators Chris Brooke and Jamie Lewis. She received the Rhonda Payne Award for artistic excellence from ArtsNL. She lives in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador.
