Vejay Steele is an up-and-coming Bermudan poet currently studying at the University of Sussex. Although he sees himself as "nationless," his work is heavily influenced by West Indian culture and the likes of Marcus Garvey, Bob Marley and Kamau Brathwaite. He aims to create a space where "Blakkness may be celebrated without fear or shame.&/148 Reggae is his first published poem.
